Christmas - A Festival like No Other!
What’s more pompous to children, than Christmas Eve! The colorfully lightened and bound Christmas tree, the merry sounds of X-mas jingles accompanied by the sweet, sweet aroma of baked cakes and cookies – absolutely charismatic!
Children all over the world look forward to this day to enjoy a feast full of delightful food and fun. Friends and family gather around and try to spend a splendid time together, but children seem to always be full of boisterous energy and fun! The milieu set aside, awakens with the spirit of the happy and merry children. And who doesn’t like gifts! Probably something that elders, let alone children, like to receive on Christmas Eve too. Children wait eagerly for Santa to arrive in the middle of the night, and give them wonderful gifts – probably a reason for them to be well behaved all year round!
And it just doesn’t end with gifts. Children seem to feel excited and remain at their most pleasant mood during Christmas. The few days of happy vacationing and the excitement entailed around with a new beginning of a year, seems to keep them on their toes. The revelry also involves elders who can take some time off their busy schedule and spend time with families and friends as well. Christmas revelry involves a lot of happy music, dance, fun games and exquisite dinners. Some might also take some time off to make merry with the less unfortunate ones; the homeless, aged people, orphans etc, for Christmas is for all and everyone deserves to enjoy it at the fullest!
Some people spend their time by watching Christmas movies together, along with their loved ones. Activities might also include making and exchanging cards with friends and distant relatives, designing apparels like Christmas ornaments and garlands for their family or even use them to decorate their houses. Its just a plethora of opportunities that one might follow to convince a quality and happy time together, on that very special day!
One of the most soothing experience is to see and listen to small groups of choirs, those that volunteer to move around neighbourhoods and present its denizen with their wonderfully executed and performed Christmas carols. The blissful notes of these choirs reverberate in the air, moving one’s soul emotionally to the point of calmness and happiness. The ambience culminated is that of spirituality – something that’s equally important to realize along with this merriment, on Christmas Eve. The senses equivocally adhere to the milieu of calmness and that is something that makes Christmas celebration as one of the most enjoyable experience of all!
The best thing about Christmas is its potential to bring in people closer, in their life and in relationships. The exchange of gifts among friends and relatives, the funny banter among friends, sharing time with the less unfortunate ones – everything reminds us that human beings can live in perfect harmony through kindness and sharing. And of course, the churches are adorned with beautiful decorations – a grandiose sight like no other. The doors are open to all humanity – to come and forget their lives of solitude and misery and embrace and celebrate this day as an extravagant onset of a new beginning!
