New Year - Dawning of a new beginning
A new beginning, a new celebration and a new experience to look forward to! The excitement and joyous celebration entailed around with Christmas, is almost bolstered with the onset of a new year. Many people regard this new beginning as under different views. Some might take this as a potential chance to redevelop and reform themselves, while others might consider this new year as a chance to make amends with respect to incomplete targets. But the entire motive for most of us is to look forward to a year full of new opportunities and goals!
However, it is not necessary to regard this just as a new source of a personal motivation. Some might consider this as a change that they could adapt themselves into. Some might just enjoy it as a fresh onset of new connections and relationships, or maybe as an opportunity to plan out the dream vacation that they have always planning for! After all, 365 days a year gives you an ample time to decide for yourself as to what you want to do or achieve in the forthcoming year. An ever-revolving cycle of opportunities!
New years can also mean a change in events - political, social, communal etc. Changes are an evident part of human life, a reason of our continuous self-development. Man wouldn’t have evolved from its ape like stature unless he hadn’t sought for a change. And that’s an inseparable part of new years as well. The astral route of earth around the sun in a year’s time, also ends with a change in its cosmic position in this Universe. So potentially, does that not also mean that a change must be embraced by us all, as well?
People envelope themselves around revelry, by the end of the past year. Merriment, music, dance and fine or fancy food to eat – just to celebrate the upcoming event of a new year. The motive is to end the present year with boisterous energy and good will, even while knowing that a few of those days in the past hadn’t been fared well by some of us. Such revelry gives people a source of distraction from the mis-happenings and misfortunes from events of the past.
However, it is also very important to learn from mistakes as well. New years mean a new beginning. But in order to expect an evolvement in our personality, we need to remember our mistakes committed in the past as well. Learning out of them always provides us the guidance needed for better outcomes in the year ahead. It also motivates us to be a better individual than what we were yesterday. The first day of the year observes trend where a lot many people decide their new year resolutions. But how many are able to cope up and follow it up to the brink? While new years can give us an opportunity to forget a few mis-happenings in our life, it also provides us the time to ponder and reflect upon our past deeds – only to help us achieve our targets and commit to our aspirations!
